Hope & Compassion is a charity that works with other organisations abroad to improve the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and their families living in poverty in developing countries.
Our sole purpose is to re-ignite the flame of Hope and Giving. We aim to bring hope and kindness to people in need, through selfless service, compassion and respect for those whose circumstances are such that they have difficulty coping with the simple things in life. Coming together collectively, we are determined to make a difference to the lives of those who are socially disadvantaged, in pain, disabled, or have special educational needs.
Through compassion we aim to touch them deeply and bring hope into their lives.
Our Aims and Objectives:
To promote awareness of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disability through social care education, using modern technology to ensure that the appropriate care and knowledge can be disseminated to both helpers and children.
To advance the facilities provided for the children, enabling them to understand and participate in specialised stimulatory activities.
To enhance the physical environment for the children, giving them the room to explore, learn and socialise in an environment that caters for their special needs.
To provide an exchange programme for children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities, educationalists, therapists and other professionals, in order to promote specialist skills and understanding.
To aid in the prevention or relief of poverty in third world countries by providing items and services to individuals in need and/or charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.
