Hope and Compassion focuses on two main areas when working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disability – Therapies and Education. Due to lack of awareness in both areas we welcome volunteers from all walks of life who have the skills, expertise and specialist knowledge that we can share with those less fortunate.
Our Mission is simple ‘To Touch and change Lives’ and there are many ways in which you can get involved, we are also open to suggestions and fresh ideas that fit into our ethos and mission. Above anything else we encourage active participation. It is not about numbers, growth or money – every little effort helps to make a difference in the lives we wish to serve and change.
Our aim is to organise two main trips to India annually in the months of March/April and September/October. This fits well in terms of acclimatising and allowing us to meet our given objectives of the trips. The duration of the trip is down to the individual and can last from 14 days to 3 months.
